Seminar paper from the year 2005 in the subject Pedagogy - Job Education, Occupational Training, Further Education, grade: A, , language: English, abstract: Silence is something many adults yearn for, especially in times in which the environment is getting increasingly louder. It is something precious as it benefits our body, spirit, and soul. A big problem at home, in kindergarten, and at school, however, are noisy, disruptive, aggressive, and unfocused children who cannot come to rest and find themselves any more. These children cannot sit still for five minutes, let alone concentrate on something for a longer period of time. To react with a loud scream, “Silence – damn it!”, is certainly not the right way. Relaxation and concentration programs for children are popular like never before. But in addition to that, maybe the children themselves yearn for silence and it is not that difficult to get them on the right track. I would first like to take a look at the pedagogical theory by Maria Montessori followed by introducing my own ideas and experiences with Tibetan Singing Bowls. The practical exercises were developed in the music workshop in Bad Bergzabern in collaboration with Uta Karen Mempel; there are hardly any publications available with regard to this topic. In this music workshop I worked with small groups of five children and larger groups of up to 25 children. The age of the children was between four and 15 years.

THEY KILL WITHOUT CONSCIENCE. ANN RULE PORTRAYS THEIR SHATTERING CRIMES WITHOUT PITY. In eight stunning Case Files volumes, from A Rose for Her Grave to the #1 blockbuster Last Dance, Last Chance, Ann Rule reigns as "America's best true-crime writer" (Kirkus Reviews). Now, she updates the most astonishing cases from that acclaimed series -- and presents shocking, all-new true-crime accounts -- in one riveting anthology. In every explosive chapter of Without Pity, Ann Rule deepens her unrelenting exploration of the evil that lies behind the perfect facades of heartless killers...and the deadly compulsions of greed and power that shatter their outward trappings of material success. They are the admired, trusted neighbor; the affable family man; the sexy, charismatic lover; the high-achieving professional. Perhaps most frightening of all is that they are heroes in their own minds. But when someone gets in the way of their deluded dreams, they are capable of deadly acts of violence with no remorse. Analyzing the true nature of the sociopathic mind in chilling detail, Ann Rule traces the murderous crimes of seemingly ordinary men -- killers who drew their unsuspecting victims into their twisted worlds with devastating consequences.

With lines between personal and professional blurring in this emotionally charged, deeply personal case, Sam is relying on Nick more than ever for support. But when suspicious images from the night in question appear on social media, Sam begins to wonder if her niece is telling her everything she knows about what really happened. And when Nick questions her tactics—and her ethics—as she races against the clock, Sam will need to decide how far she's willing to go to prove Brooke is a victim, not a murderer.
